About Africa Kiburi

Established in 2017 as Black Pride, we have rebranded to Africa Kiburi operating as a movement working together in Africa, to promote a human rights approach to women and young people programming. We pivoted on aspiration number six of the African Union that speaks to ‘An Africa, whose development is people-driven, relying on the potential of African people, especially its women and youth, and caring for children.’ Our role is to amplify the voices of women and youth in thriving in the achievement of Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2063 through capacity strengthening and advocacy

Mission

The major goal is for our primary stakeholders to be able to exercise their civil and political rights to influence the decisions of people in power. We focus on the people that others forget people, those who face discrimination and whose voices are ignored.

Vision

Africa Kiburi envisages a more proud diverse women and young people empowered to fight injustices and build impartial societies in Africa.
